A few words on release scheduling for A Little Princess Sara

Everyone has probably figured out by now that we're going a little bit slower on A Little Princess Sara, compared to our speed on Super Doll Licca-chan.

Currently, we are aiming for a release every two days.

There are two reasons why each episode takes longer.
  1. It takes us 4 hours to translate each A Little Princess Sara episode, compared to 2 hours for each Super Doll Licca-chan episode.  This is because it is significantly more difficult.  If the episode doesn't have French dialogue, typically we will have an episode translated in 3 hours.
  2. Since we are encoding both an XviD version and a h.264 version, the encoding time is increased threefold.
So, we apologize in advance if we don't sub this as fast as we did Super Doll Licca-chan.  We will do our best to finish this series.  It deserves no less.

  2. Guys, What are you talking about here? No need to explain, it is already faster than most group's release on most series, 3-4 eps a week are more than we can ask for. Saying that since I have watched the whole series couple of times already, I would rather wait till you release most of the episodes before start watching it from the beginning. Thanks again for doing this series!

  4. Wow, I can't believe you're actually apologizing for not releasing daily. 1 episodes every 2 days is more than enough. I love this show and can't even think of a perfect way to express all my appreciation. Keep up the good work! There are people out there that love you! :*

  9. I'm just happy a great group has decided to take on the task to translate this Anime. But your releases are pretty quick knowing you have still normal lives to live. THanks Liccafansubs.

  11. Psh, like anyone cares if it's slow, I think it's amazing you guys picked this up. I got curious when LE did a couple but it's hard to get hopes up when you know they didn't keep doing it.

Picking up neglected stuff like this totally boosts a group up in my mind.

*gets the batch for Super Doll*

  12. Still, it's an amazing speed! One episode every two day! It's a mesmerizing efficacity and devotion that became very rare this days! You've become my favorite fansub groupe these days! Bringing us back to the day of mighty old school shoujo, it can only remember me of the legendary Technogirl, one the best fansub group of the vhs age. Keep on the good work Licca!

  13. We felt like we needed to give a proper explanation on why the releases were taking longer. It is not wise to leave people in the dark.

(Yes, I actually remember the Technogirls. I've seen their work, and it is a very high bar to surpass or even meet the quality of their work.)
