Perrine Episode 41 released!

As she crossed the veranda she saw Talouel, who, with his hands thrust in his pockets, was strolling about as though on the lookout for all that passed in the yards as well as in the offices.

"Where are you going?" he demanded.

"To the cable office with a message," replied Perrine. She held the paper in one hand and the money in the other. He took the paper from her, snatching it so roughly that if she had not let it go he would have torn it. He hastily opened it. His face flushed with anger when he saw that the message was written in English.

"You know that you've got to talk with me later on, eh?" he said.

"Yes, sir."

In this episode, Vulfran asks Perrine to send a telegram to India.  On her way to the telegram office, Talouel accosts her in an alleyway, throws her to the ground, then rummages through her purse. Talouel finds the text of the telegram, but it was in English, which he could not read.

Vulfran finds out about what happened, and decided to take Perrine to live with him to prevent further incidents.

My Annette Episode 11 released!

Back to bed ran Dani with a light heart. He cuddled down under the clothes, curled himself into a ball, and buried his nose in the pillows. He had already said his prayer with Annette before he got into bed, but now he had a little bit to add.

"Please, dear God," he whispered, "make Father Christmas and his reindeer come this way; and make him see my red slipper, and make him put a little present inside even if I am only a poor little boy."

In this episode, Dani puts his slipper outside in the hopes that Santa Claus will drop a present inside.  It turned out that Santa Claus did put a present inside.

Porphy no Nagai Tabi Episode 39 released!

In this episode, Porphy is walking towards the French border.  On the way, he meets an enigmatic young woman just standing around on the side of the road.

This episode marks the 3/4 point of the series.  We're about to hit the homestretch, and the end appears to be in sight for Porphy.  Most of the last episodes will take place in France; in fact, Porphy will be making the border crossing in episode 40.  However, since this series does not end around episode 40, Porphy's troubles are far from over; he will have to go through a lot more pain and suffering before the series ends.

Batch torrents for episodes 1-26 of Porphy no Nagai Tabi are now up. We apologize for the delay.

There are two v2 encodes in this batch (episodes 22 and 25). They address a translation error involving descriptions of Isabella and her group.

Porphy no Nagai Tabi

I'm encoding the final version 2 episode that will be going into the batch torrent for episodes 1-26.  The torrent should be available tonight.  The episodes that will have version 2s are episodes 22 and 25.

Episode 38 is almost ready for release, episode 39 is in pre-encode checks, and episode 40 is being timed at the time of writing this post.

Work is progressing steadily on Wasurenai's front.  We already have all the episodes translated, so that is a good thing.  Episode 14 should be out reasonably soon.

Episode 41 is going into QC as soon as I can prepare the QC encode (that will happen after I encode Porphy 39).  I will be TLCing episode 43 tonight to keep the project moving.

Little Women II - Jo's Boys

The translator is fairly busy, but he's been getting me translations on a fairly regular basis.  I will be personally translating a few episodes down the line as well (to put it simply, there are certain episodes I love so much that I had to work on them myself).

"Are you in pain, Dan?"

As she spoke, Mrs. Jo stooped to turn the pillow and smooth the bed-clothes, when, to her great surprise, Dan put his arm around her neck, drew her face down to his, and kissed her, with a broken "Thank you, ma'am," which said more than the most eloquent speech could have done; for the hasty kiss, the muttered words, meant, "I'm sorry, I will try." She understood it, accepted the unspoken confession, and did not spoil it by any token of surprise. She only remembered that he had no mother, kissed the brown cheek half hidden on the pillow, as if ashamed of the little touch of tenderness, and left him, saying, what he long remembered, "You are my boy now, and if you choose you can make me proud and glad to say so."

In this episode, Dan's return causes quite a bit of activity in Plumfield.  However, Dan's lack of action in a certain way causes Nan to get angry.

This episode is one of my personal favorites.  In this episode, Porphy meets a young woman named Marisa who wears a mask.  She is often talking to another person named Sandra, which piques Porphy's curiosity.

In this episode, Porphy is walking in the middle of a storm, and he seeks shelter where a priest was staying to shelter himself from the rain.  He travels with the priest, which raises some questions about spirituality and belief.

Porphy no Nagai Tabi Episode 34 released!

In this episode, Porphy was picked up by a truck while walking on the road.  He falls asleep in the truck, and ends up in this town.  The town's inhabitants are cheerful and friendly, but there is something very particular about this town in regards to the well in the town.

I have a question for those of you who watched this episode; exactly what IS going on in this town?  This is probably the first episode I don't understand fully and I would like some clarification on exactly what is going on.

In this episode, Rina finds out who Masahiro really is, which is why the episode is aptly named "His Secret".  She was not pleased that Masahiro was hiding important facts from her, which set into motion some events leading to their relationship becoming stronger than ever.

In this episode, Perrine returns to the hut where she lived before (this scene is not in the novel).  However, Theodore is using it to both do some hunting and as a secret place to meet Talouel to discuss plans.  Theodore then "accidentally" shoots Baron in the process.

Perrine actually slams the drawer shut on Talouel's fingers!

In this episode, Perrine is asked to translate a letter in English from India for Vulfran.  Both Theodore and Talouel realize that the letter is extremely valuable to their plans and attempt to bully Perrine into revealing the contents of the letter.
