Les Miserables Episode 44 released!

And turning gently to Enjolras, he said to him:

"Do you permit it?"

Enjolras pressed his hand with a smile.

This smile was not ended when the report resounded.

Enjolras, pierced by eight bullets, remained leaning against the wall, as though the balls had nailed him there. Only, his head was bowed.

Grantaire fell at his feet, as though struck by a thunderbolt.

- Les Miserables, Volume 5, Book 1, Chapter 23

A lot happens to a lot of people in this episode.  First, we have Jean Valjean letting Javert go, while Javert shows why his ideals of justice are so unyielding.  Then, we have Cosette rescuing Gavroche (which is different from the novel).  Unfortunately for the Friends of ABC, the National Guard is wheeling up a second cannon, and the revolution appears doomed....

You can obtain this episode from your standard anime torrent indexing sites.

  2. This show is sooooo amazing and sublime! No wonder I kept following it for all these years, even with the constant stalled subs until now! This episode seriously proved how awesome this show is! The insert song helped too, even if it didn't exactly fit the action scenes. Does anyone know the name of the song that played in this episode? I know it's sung by Cosette's seiyuu (Nazuka Kaori).
