A Little Princess Sara Episode 33 released!

"What are you laughing at, you bold, impudent child?" Miss Minchin exclaimed.

It took Sara a few seconds to control herself sufficiently to remember that she was a princess. Her cheeks were red and smarting from the blows she had received.

"I was thinking," she answered.

"Beg my pardon immediately," said Miss Minchin.

Sara hesitated a second before she replied.

"I will beg your pardon for laughing, if it was rude," she said then; "but I won't beg your pardon for thinking."

- A Little Princess, chapter 11

In this episode, everyone is back from summer vacation, and Sara is already in trouble.

You can obtain this episode from your standard anime torrent indexing sites.

For those of you watching this episode, I would like to ask an open question: Did Becky really use Lavinia's chalkboard, or was Becky telling a lie?  Please give your answer and explain why in the comments.

  1. I think Becky really did use the chalkboard upon returning to school, though I wonder when in the day she could have practiced writing without bringing it upstairs and then forgetting it in her room. Maybe she lied and Lavinia once again faked the dirtiness.

When she was writing to Sara while back in the country, she said that she was using the words Sara taught her. Even that statement is funny, because Becky keeps calling Sara "ojo-sama" or "miss" without Sara telling her otherwise, and we never saw Sara teach Becky anything.

As for the way Sara paid the glass repairman, in the book "she managed to bore a whole in the sixpence and wear it as a keepsake", or something like that.

  2. In the novel, there is no mention of the sixpence ever been spent or used, except for the part you mentioned.

This episode does not really have an equivalent part in the novel.

  3. About the question you asked... I think that Becky really used the Lavinia's chalkboard...
    Why?
Because Becky, isn't the best person when it comes to think like that and her reaction sounded natural...
