Next episode release will be next week

Due to real life happenings, we will release episode 27 early next week.  We apologize in advance for the delay.

The NyaaTorrents chatbox as a source of amusement

For obvious reasons, I do not directly reply to the chatbox.  However, I'll leave any pertinent discussion of what is being said to the people who read this.

Official IRC channel

We have an official IRC channel.

We are in #licca-fansubs at irc.chatspike.net.  No bots, please, and please keep the conversation civil.

I myself will try to be in there as much as I can, but since I can't be there 24/7, please try to behave yourselves.  :)

Super Doll Licca-chan Episode 26 released

Rika makes a better juggler than I will ever be.  :)

This episode can be obtained through your standard anime torrent indexing sites.

This episode marks the half-way point.  Here's what's coming up for the next 13 episodes.

1.  Scarecrow is going to get really screwed over.
2.  Doll Isamu is going to be the subject of a rescue attempt.
3.  Remember the guy in the trenchcoat in episode 11? He's coming back.
4.  We'll have a new ending song coming up in episode 28.

Here's to another 13 episodes!

How are Doll Knights summoned?

This comment asked about certain things that may not be immediately obvious so far in the series, namely how exactly are the Doll Knights summoned.  In light of this, I'm going to see if I can explain it a bit more clearly.

Basically, there two requirements to summon each Doll Knight:

1. Each Doll Knight's Calling Bracelet must be on the person that will be protected.  This is why Yae could not summon Doll Isamu until Dai found his Calling Bracelet (and Scarecrow took it and put it on).
2. Each Doll Knight's master control trinket where the summoning words are uttered must be equipped.  (This requirement is altered starting in episode 28.)

Let's go to each Doll Knight for specifics.

Doll Licca

Doll Licca's Calling Bracelet is currently being worn by Rika.  Her control trinket, the Calling Pendant, is worn by Nanae (Rika's grandmother).

Doll Isamu

Doll Isamu's Calling Bracelet is currently being worn by Scarecrow.  His control trinket, the Calling Watch, is worn by Yae (Nanae's twin sister). (It's called a watch because it looks like one of the old-fashioned windup watches that is on a chain.)

Doll Izumi

(This is behind a cut because there's a spoiler about 10 episodes ahead.)

Super Doll Licca-chan Episode 23 released

Are we in Roswell? Are the Men in Black involved? Where's NCC-1701 (no bloody A, B, C, or D)?

This episode has the group's vote for "most messed up episode that scrambles people's brains".  It certainly scrambled mine trying to encode and QC it.

You may obtain this episode at your standard anime torrent listing sites.

Super Doll Licca-chan Episode 22 released

DOLL ISAMU IS HERE!

The long awaited return of Doll Isamu is here.  However, there's a little catch.

E-mail replies

I apologize in advance if I have not personally replied to your e-mail; I am a bit backlogged at the moment.

(I still wonder how the 419 spammers think I would interested in their business proposals, anyway?)

Super Doll Licca-chan Episode 21 released

This episode made me laugh.  This episode literally continues the whole detective modus operandi and the fact that Scarecrow was impersonating a police officer in such a way made me just lose control of my faculties. :)

You may obtain this episode from your standard anime torrent indexing sites.

I apologize for not getting this post up; this was another one of those "finish the encode really late and pass out" situations.

Super Doll Licca-chan Episode 20 released

Everyone is a detective in this episode.  Rui finds out that he's a bit more connected to the Doll Kingdom than he could have ever imagined.

You can obtain this episode from your standard anime torrent listing sites.

Super Doll Licca-chan Episode 19 released

This episode release is dedicated to the lives that were lost in New York and Pennsylvania on this date, plus the dedicated efforts of our soldiers and the FDNY and NYPD that day.

Remember this episode.  Something in it will become very important in the next to the last episode.

You can obtain this episode from your standard anime torrent indexing sites.

Super Doll Licca-chan Episode 18 released

This time, it's Sumire destroying another Scarecrow plan.  I figure anything involving Scarecrow and phones will probably not be attempted again.

You can obtain this through your normal anime torrent indexing sites.

We apologize for being a bit slower on this episode; the translator has trouble with it.

Super Doll Licca-chan Episode 17 released

Scarecrow can't even follow his own plans.  Because of Rui, he screws up again.

You can obtain this from your standard anime torrent listing sites.

A little announcement

Today is Labor Day, a.k.a. do no work day.  No work is being done on Super Doll Licca-chan today. :)

I have gotten suggestions on what series we should do after Super Doll Licca-chan.  In light of those suggestions and the fact that all the series under consideration are good series, what we'll do is over the next couple of months, we'll sub the first episode of a couple of series under consideration (as we're still trying to get raws for a lot of these series).  This is to basically to gauge interest and to see if we are capable of giving the series in question the treatment and attention that they deserve.  I will not reveal the names of the series in question, except they are mostly older series that have been either been almost completely ignored or have been totally mangled in process of fansubbing.

We will not be working on these series in earnest until we finish Super Doll Licca-chan, though.  That's what this group was formed to do.

Super Doll Licca-chan Episode 16 released

Rui and Doll Licca ruin another "foolproof" Scarecrow plan.  Also, we have a new ending song (which is quite fun)!

This episode can be obtained through your normal anime torrent indexing sites.

We are getting close to having an official IRC channel

We're about to finish setting up our own official IRC channel.  We're still trying to work out some security kinks and what not.

We will not have an XDCC bot, though.  No one in the group has the bandwidth needed to support the necessary speeds required for one to make it useful.

Super Doll Licca-chan Episode 15 released

Rui gains an understanding of what girls think (or maybe not?).

This episode may be obtained from your standard anime torrent indexing sites.

Super Doll Licca-chan Episode 14 released

I admit; I've been tempted to replace some of the words with some stronger obscenities before starting the encode.

You may obtain this episode from your standard anime torrent listing sites.

(I apologize for posting the news now; I finished the encode last night, but passed out right after I set up my seeding computer.)
