Scheduling and news

First off, I would like to apologize for the irregular release schedule over the last month or so.  We have not made as much progress on Pollyanna as we would like, and the slowdown on our work on Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch Pure was also caused by the events that led to the irregular release schedule.  To put it simply, I have not had the time to do as much translating or encoding due to events in real life, and our other staff members are very busy as well.

So, I would like to touch on scheduling and the status of our current and potential projects.

A Dog of Flanders

Silver Zero Subs (http://silverzerosubs.blogspot.com)  has released the first episode of the series.  We admittedly have not made much progress due to several mistakes on my part, but as per our policy, we will officially drop it from consideration from series we will be doing.

Hiatus from 5/15 to 5/20 (affects mostly Happy Kappi)

Licca Fansubs will be on hiatus from 5/15 to 5/20, as I will not be able to do any encoding due to unexpected issues.  This affects primarily Happy Kappi episode 7, as I will not be able to process the transport stream.  We will try to have at least one more Pollyanna episode out before the hiatus, and we'll probably have Happy Kappi episode 7 released on 5/21.

Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch Pure

The hiatus will also affect our work on this project.  We do know the Wasurenai staff members are very close to handing over a script for episode 4.  If they can get it to me before we go to hiatus, we'll have it released on 5/15.  If not, the release of that episode will happen after the hiatus.

Pastel Yumi

The translator candidate that we may have found for this series has not come back with the results of her translation test.  I will post more information as it is made available.

Resuming the release schedule

We will resume our regular release schedule in the first week of June.

  1. It's always a pleasure to watch your magnificient subbing of old school shoujo and WMT; so it's a sad news that you drop the idea of subbing Dog of Flanders. I'm sure Silver Zero Subs will do a fair job, but considering their pace it could take many years to see this masterpiece completely sub. As a WMT and old school anime fan, I wish your future project will include another mighty dose of WMT after the completition of Polyanna. Thanks for keeping the flame of Old school anime alive Licca! Your devotion is admirable!

  3. Thank you for everything ( mainly the WMT goodness ). Your professionalism is amazing. It would be great if ( since you're not doing DOF ) you sub Tomu Sôyâ no bôken.

    Cheers!

  4. We can't do Tom Sawyer because it's one of the few WMT series that is available here in the United States.
