Summer 2012 anime season

We are currently not planning to do any series from the Summer 2012 anime season.  The main reason is that we will not be able to finish Porphy in time to free up the translation slot for a series.

Therefore, when we finish Porphy, we will move My Annette to the slot that Porphy occupied, and Lucy-May of the Southern Rainbow to the slot that My Annette occupied.  We are anticipating to finish up with Porphy by the second week of July.

  3. Have you guys considered picking up Konnichiwa Anne/Before Green Gables? Yeah i know there's a group who's doing it. But we'll be lucky if it gets completely subbed by 2014.

    1. I agree. I don't like the fact that ray=out stopped releasing SD versions, which work better on my computer for some reason.

    2. I may end up talking to the folks at ray=out and asking them what they need to finish it. However, any efforts with that will require us to finish Perrine first.

    3. Sure. That's fine. We understand. Perrine does deserve to be finished after all, since it's a great series.

Konnichiha Anne ~Before Green Gables has been completed finished by Anonymous Russian Rippers (ARR). Search the batch release via your favourite search engine and you'll find it. As a result of that, I, alchemist11, have taken an extended break from editing any anime for the group and in general.

There is nothing we need assistance on. Translation is finished, most episodes, save for a couple are timed, and all of the episodes are encoded. It's just mainly myself having the lack of motivation to edit the anime since each takes 3-4 hours. There are also distractions in life which restrict me from devoting 3-4 hours in one sitting.

We stopped releasing SD versions because of the lack of downloads, waste of resources on our end, and simply because in this day and age, we need to move away from old formats. Technology has evolved. If your computer cannot handle the HD format, you should try using video accelerators. You could also try changing the renderer on Media Player Classic. Keep in mind that we don't support any other video codecs or players except CCCP and MPC. If you have a laptop, playback while you computer is in Performance mode. All of these little things help in the playback. Even an upgrade in RAM helps. If 720p works on a Pentium 3 977 Mhz computer with 1 GB RAM, you shouldn't have a problem.

    6. That's understandable, considering your schedule. I figured it had to do with what was going on in your life.

    7. ARR guess i'll check it out. Though from what i know of that group they just rip hkdvds or atleast use its subs which are really bad...

    8. Ok i just found it via my fav search engine... I'll just wait for your group's release whenever that is i guess. From the last comment there, i wouldn't even want to try it. I bet the screenshots used in that torrent site were the few "decent" subs.

  4. I'd be more concerned with Katri since putting out the current 16 episodes plus three more fin-sub only has taken well over six years for Ushi and they don't even consider it stalled. I finished watching it raw eventually, but still. Otherwise it would be right up your alley. But I'm sure to follow Lucy-May too of course after Porphy!

    1. The same reply to the previous comment applies in this case as well. The fact that Live-Evil, who has been jointed with Ushi-Ai for Katri, makes this situation a bit stickier for us to get involved.

Personally, I don't really want to make Live-Evil staff members more nervous than they are right now. They've got enough on their plate to worry about.
