In this episode, Lucia, Hanon, and Rina go to investigate abnormally warm water temperatures in the Antarctic. However, what they find is an insidious plot of Mikeru, led by Sheshe and Mimi, which required the powers of all the Mermaid Princesses to defeat.
As a note, starting from this episode, we will also be using softsubs for the 10-bit h.264 release. The 8-bit h.264 and the XviD version will still be hardsubbed.

ReplyDeleteNoting that, the format container is also different --ep 14-8bit hardsub in mkv, ep15-8bit hardsub in mp4? Is that also an intended change?
On the one hand, I always prefer mkv's. On the other hand, mp4's are better known as hardsub vehicles.

You are correct that the container for the 8-bit h.264 version is different. That was done on purpose to prevent confusion.
DeleteThe reason why the MP4 container is used as a "hardsub vehicle" is because the format does not support SSA/ASS softsubs. It does support its own variant of subtitles, plus the simpler types such as SRT and what not.
