In this episode, Lucien goes back to school.  However, Annette has already told her side of the story of what happened to Dani, which makes pretty much the entire class prejudiced to Lucien.  As a result, Lucien goes up into the forest, where he runs into the old man who lives there.  Later, Annette does something to hurt both Lucien and Dani.

Expectations for Idol Densetsu Eriko

Idol Densetsu Eriko is another one of those series that has been frequently requested, and it's one of the hidden gems of anime that almost no one knows about.  I had the DVDs imported quite a while back in case we did get the chance to do it, and the opportunity finally came to fruition.  This series is one of the predecessors to modern idol anime today.

We will be jointing with KiteSeekers Fansubs for this project.  We will be supplying translation checking and encoding, plus any other assistance that may be required.  The translator for this project has already done the translations up to episode 6, so we expect releases to happen with some regularity.

We hope you all enjoy this journey as Eriko becomes a singer herself as a result of what happens to her after the accident with her parents. 

Tonde Buurin Episode 2 released!

In this episode, St. Ringo's soccer team is headed to the district finals.  However, the opposing team is determined to win at all costs, which in this case means cheating.  Of course, Buurin was not going to allow them to do that....

Idol Densetsu Eriko Episode 1 released! (Joint with KiteSeekers)

Our new project will be Idol Densetsu Eriko, which will be done as a joint with KiteSeekers Fansubs.
 

In this episode, we begin the story of Eriko Tamura, who was the daughter of the president of a music production company.  She lived a happy life until something tragic happens to her family.

Little Women II - Jo's Boys Episode 30 released!

'I saw Demi this morning, and he said she was keeping house for Mother Bhaer.' 

'She always does when Aunt Jo gets into a vortex. Daisy is a model housekeeper; and you couldn't do better than make your bow to her, if you can't go to work and wait till you are grown up before you begin lovering.'

'You silly boys think we must pair off as we did when children; but we shall do nothing of the kind. How well Parnassus looks from here!' said Nan, abruptly changing the conversation again.

Little Women II - Jo's Boys Episode 29 released!

For our 9/11 release, we would like to release episode 29 of Little Women II - Jo's Boys.  May the memory of everyone who lost their lives be remembered forever.

In this episode, the question of what women can't do versus what men can do is explored by the children of Plumfield.  To solve that question, Jo suggests a baseball match between the "gentlemen's team" and the "ladies' team".

My Annette Episode 16 released!

Dani lay in the cart on a sack stretched across a soft mattress of hay, and gazed up at the sky, where tiny, white, woolly clouds floated like sleepy lambs in a blue meadow. He would have liked to look over the sides of the cart, but this was impossible, for he could not sit up; so he looked at the sky instead, and Annette described the scenery. Dani's leg ached badly, and he was inclined to be fretful; when the cart jolted he squealed. But Annette soothed him with her talk, and it was still nice being so important.

In this episode, Dani is taken to the hospital.  In the meantime, Lucien has his own problems to deal with, especially considering the gossip going around the village.

Little Women II - Jo's Boys Episode 28 released!

It was not an elegant confession, being badly written, much blotted, and very short; but it was a precious paper to Dan; and, when Mr. Bhaer paused, the boy went to him, saying, in a rather broken voice, but with clear eyes, and the frank, respectful manner they had tried to teach him,

"I'll say I'm sorry now, and ask you to forgive me, sir."

"It was a kind lie, Dan, and I can't help forgiving it; but you see it did no good," said Mr. Bhaer, with a hand on either shoulder, and a face full of relief and affection.

"It kept the boys from plaguing Nat. That's what I did it for. It made him right down miserable. I didn't care so much," explained Dan, as if glad to speak out after his hard silence.

In the final episode of the three-episode arc corresponding to chapter 14 of the novel, Dan's plan to deflect suspicion from Nat was spoiled.  Then, we find out who really took Tommy's money.

Perrine batch torrents

Batch torrents for Perrine have been released.  They contain version 2 encodes for episode 41, 42, 43, 50, and 53 to address a black stripe on the left or the right side of the video.

There are four separate torrents; the C1 episode 1-34 torrent, and three torrents representing the XviD version, 8-bit h.264 version, and the 10-bit h.264 version for episodes 35-53.

Tonde Buurin 1v2 released!

A version 2 was released for Tonde Buurin episode 1.  This corrects an encoding error on my part that caused a freeze around the 14:20 mark.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

Edit: The Hi10P version that was initially released had the wrong video stream.  We have pulled that release and replaced it with the correct version.  The CRC of the correct version is "8B6D8362".

Little Women II - Jo's Boys Episode 27 released!

"If you say that again I'll go and tell Mr. Bhaer all about it. I don't want to tell tales, but, by George! I will, if you don't let Dan alone."

"Then you'll be a sneak, as well as a liar and a thief," began Ned, with a jeer, for Nat had borne insult to himself so meekly, the other did not believe he would dare to face the master just to stand up for Dan.

What he might have added I cannot tell, for the words were hardly out of his mouth when a long arm from behind took him by the collar, and, jerking him over the wall in a most promiscuous way, landed him with a splash in the middle of the brook.

"Say that again and I'll duck you till you can't see!" cried Dan, looking like a modern Colossus of Rhodes as he stood, with a foot on either side of the narrow stream, glaring down at the discomfited youth in the water.

"I was only in fun," said Ned.

"You are a sneak yourself to badger Nat round the corner. Let me catch you at it again, and I'll souse you in the river next time. Get up, and clear out!" thundered Dan, in a rage.

This episode is the second part of the three-episode arc that covers chapter 14 of the novel.  In this episode, suspicion is the order of the day at Plumfield, as the students suspect each other of the theft, and most of the suspicion is on Nat.  Out of all the children, Dan and Daisy believe in Nat, and they are prepared to do anything to help him out as much as possible.

In other news, we apologize for the delay in releases.  It has been a very difficult few weeks for the staff members here.

Perrine Episode 53 released!

 

It's now springtime in Maraucourt, and with that comes Vulfran's birthday.  With that, Vulfran had a nice surprise waiting for Perrine.

This concludes our work for Perrine.  As per my usual practice, I would like to make some concluding remarks.

I would like to personally thank the staff of Wasurenai and KiteSeekers for all the support they've provided to get the series done, even if they were not directly involved.  It would not have been possible to finish it without them.  I would also like to personally thank the staff at C1 Anime for their efforts and their invaluable assistance.  The time and effort put in by so many people in this project is almost priceless, and I'm honored to have worked with such dedicated staff members.

Perrine Episode 52 released!

In this episode, Perrine celebrates her first Christmas in Maraucourt.  Perrine modestly says to Vulfran that she was not beautiful, but when Vulfran got to see Perrine's face for the first time since the operation, he realized that Perrine was being too modest.

Perrine Episode 51 released!

In this episode, Vulfran undergoes the operation to have the cataracts in his eyes removed.  However, the operation was not without risk.

My Annette Episode 15 released!

Grandmother had been right. The angels had taken charge of Dani as he fell, and he had never reached the water at all. He had fallen onto a jutting-out boulder just below, and there he lay, flat on his back, with his legs doubled up under him, waiting for someone to come and rescue him, and crying because he could not move. The time had been long and Dani supposed he had been to sleep, for he could remember much about those two hours. He really remembered only the moment when his father hovered over him like some big bird, and then alighted by him and knelt on the rock at his side.

"Papa," whispered Dani, a little faintly, "where's Klaus?"

In this episode, Pierre, Claude, Annette, and Lucien's mother find out about what happened to Dani.  Pierre descends into the ravine to find Dani on a boulder, still alive.

An update

We have not been able to release much in terms of episodes due to the fact that my timers are on vacation, and I have been working too many hours in a week.

We do have My Annette episode 15, Little Women II episode 27, and the rest of Perrine well on their way, and the timers should be able to get to them as soon as possible.

Also, there have been reports of a "freeze" in Tonde Buurin episode 1.  I have identified the cause of this freeze and will have version 2 encodes made available later this week to address the issue.

Expectations for Lucy-May of the Southern Rainbow

As everyone knows, this series was one of the three series we had put up for a poll.  We now can finally begin this series and breathe life into it.

Lucy-May of the Southern Rainbow is about the experiences of a family colonizing South Australia.  Unlike most other parts of Australia back then, this area was not being used as a colony for criminals (back then, the British Empire used Australia to hold "transported" criminals as part of a criminal sentence).  An imperfect analogy that goes with the United States would be the settlement of the central and western U.S. around the same time period.

As we have read in history books, being in a new land is not an easy thing, and this series portrays that very well.  The series is one of the less "flashy" and "popular" WMT series, but it doesn't make it any worse of a series.  We hope that everyone enjoys it as we go through the adventures of a family in Australia.
