Perrine Episode 49 released!

"Tell me," cried M. Vulfran, turning his sightless eyes towards Perrine, who was trembling from head to foot, "why this little girl did not say who she was? You understand how deeply a little girl can feel, so can you explain this?"

My Annette Episode 13 and 8v2 released!

In this episode, Annette and Lucien get into some misunderstandings involving Annette's mirror and what happened to Dani and Klaus.  This is the last episode before we get into the real story.

We have also released a version 2 of episode 8, which fixes a translation error and a typo.

Scheduling and some news

As mentioned in previous posts, we will be putting My Annette into Porphy's slot and Lucy-May of the Southern Rainbow into My Annette's slot.  I've already got My Annette episode 13 translated, and it's at my timer right now.

July will be a fairly slow month with regards to releases.  The reason is that the 2nd anniversary of Licca Fansubs is coming up in early August, and we would like to make this year's celebration even bigger than before.  For this purpose, I'm not going to try to translate everything for that on that week, so I would like to spread the translation out.

We hope that you guys will love the celebration we're planning for August 9th.

Perrine Episode 48 released!

When Talouel had gone, Perrine, who had been very thoughtful, decided to speak to M. Vulfran.

"Are you not going to the burial service of these little babies?" she asked. Her trembling voice betrayed her emotion.

"Why should I go?" asked M. Vulfran.

"Because that would be the most dignified answer you could give to what that poor woman said."

"Did my work people come to the burial service of my son?" asked M. Vulfran, coldly.

"They did not share your sorrow," said Perrine gravely, "but if you share theirs now they will be touched."

In this episode, Vulfran has a revelation that Aurelie may be his granddaughter.  He then sends for his lawyer to investigate that lead.

Batch torrents for Porphy no Nagai Tabi

The batch torrents for Porphy no Nagai Tabi are now out, and they replace the previous episodes 1-26 batch torrents.

There are several v2 encodes in this torrent, namely episodes 28, 31, 45, 46, and 48.  One of the v2s from the previous batch now has a v3, namely episode 25.  These v2 encodes were done to address typos that were found.

Please help in seeding them if you are able.

I also expect someone to put this on BakaBT within the next few days.  I am not sure of BakaBT's current policy regarding 10-bit encodes, so I'm not absolutely sure if both the 8-bit and the 10-bit h.264 encodes will make it.

As per my usual practice, I would like to make some concluding remarks.

This series has probably been one of the most unique series this group has worked on.  After working on it, I can understand why this series was one of the most demanded series in terms of requests.  We've enjoyed working on this series a lot, and we hope that you enjoy it as much as we did.

The list of folks that have worked on this series and helped out in little ways is simply too numerous to list.  I would like to thank everyone for their help and support, as this series required special attention due to the unique material.  I would like to thank some of my friends for providing me with technical information and cultural information; I would have never been able to translate this series without their help.

We will be releasing a batch torrent of all the episodes sometime next week.  I do have to make a few version 2 encodes (and a version 3 for one episode) to address some typos.

In this episode, Porphy meets an old friend.  At the same time, Tiffany asks Mina what she wants for Christmas, and her answer, while simple, sets up for the final episode.

In this episode, Porphy watches the movie that featured Mina and Tiffany.  He was pretty sure it was Mina, so he goes to the movie studio.

In this episode, Porphy and Mina end up in different areas of the city.  Each of them were having a good time.  However, Porphy sees a poster and realizes that he might have found Mina.

Little Women II - Jo's Boys Episode 25 released!

Every one was eager to give something, even Silas, who sent home for a stuffed wild-cat killed in his youth. It was rather moth-eaten and shabby, but on a high bracket and best side foremost the effect was fine, for the yellow glass eyes glared, and the mouth snarled so naturally, that Teddy shook in his little shoes at sight of it, when he came bringing his most cherished treasure, one cocoon, to lay upon the shrine of science.

"Isn't it beautiful? I'd no idea we had so many curious things. I gave that; don't it look well? We might make a lot by charging something for letting folks see it."

Jack added that last suggestion to the general chatter that went on as the family viewed the room.

"This is a free museum and if there is any speculating on it I'll paint out the name over the door," said Mr. Laurie, turning so quickly that Jack wished he had held his tongue.

For the first of our Fourth of July releases, I felt it was appropriate to release this episode of Little Women II - Jo's Boys.  This episode is the famous "museum" chapter, where Laurie comes along and helps in setting up a museum for the children of Plumfield.

Perrine Episode 46 released!

After she had left the house over which Death had spread its shroud, she was surprised to notice as she hastened through the village that the taverns had taken on their Sunday air. The men drank and laughed and the women chatted at their doors, while the children played in the street. Perrine wondered if none of them were going to attend the service.

Upon entering the church, where she had been afraid that she would not find room, she saw that it was almost empty. The bereaved family sat in the choir; here and there was some village authority, a tradesman and the heads of the factories. Very few of the working men and women were present; they had not thought to come and join their prayers to those of their employer.

Perrine took a seat beside Rosalie and her grandmother, who was in deep mourning.

"Alas! my poor little Edmond," murmured the old nurse, wiping her eyes. "What did M. Vulfran say?"

But Perrine was too overcome to reply. The services commenced.

"Certainly, Madame, I understand; at least I think so," said Perrine.

"Then we can count on you?"

Perrine hesitated for a moment, but as she was forced to give a reply she said:

"I shall do all that I can for M. Vulfran."

"Yes, and what you do for him will be for us," continued Mme. Bretoneux, "the same as what you do for us will be for him. And I am going to show you that I am not ungrateful. What would you say if I gave you a very nice dress?"

Perrine did not want to say anything, but as she had to make some reply to the question she put it into a smile.

"A very beautiful dress to wear in the evening," said Mme. Bretoneux.

In this episode, Madame Bretoneux tries to win Perrine's favor for her son.  However, Vulfran was about to get definitive news about his son.  It was a day that Perrine was dreading all this time.

Perrine Episode 44 released!

Although M. Vulfran had no wish to have his nephews living with him he was very hospitable and cordial to their parents when they came to visit him. On these occasions the beautiful mansion put on its most festive appearance; fires were lighted everywhere; the servants put on their best liveries; the best carriages and horses were brought from the stables, and in the evening the villagers could see the great chateau lighted up from ground floor to roof.

Perrine Episode 43 released!

In this episode, Perrine reveals her true identity to Fabry. However, in response to Fabry's question about why she hasn't told Vulfran, she had two reasons.  The more important reason of the two reasons was that if she admitted she was his granddaughter, she would have to tell him that her father had died.
