"To the cable office with a message," replied Perrine. She held the paper in one hand and the money in the other. He took the paper from her, snatching it so roughly that if she had not let it go he would have torn it. He hastily opened it. His face flushed with anger when he saw that the message was written in English.
"You know that you've got to talk with me later on, eh?" he said.
"Yes, sir."

In this episode, Vulfran asks Perrine to send a telegram to India. On her way to the telegram office, Talouel accosts her in an alleyway, throws her to the ground, then rummages through her purse. Talouel finds the text of the telegram, but it was in English, which he could not read.
Vulfran finds out about what happened, and decided to take Perrine to live with him to prevent further incidents.

I LOVE your work and have watched several of your world masterpiece theater animes you did - but I do have a question which I really want to know the answer to - why do you hardsub?
ReplyDeleteThere are two reasons why. One is technical, the other is philosophical.
Delete1. We have to support platforms that do not lend well to viewing softsubs. This is usually not the case for most other fansubbing groups, but the target audience of this group tends to have a lot more people who do not use a Windows computer to watch the series that we sub. Softsubs do not allow for "accessibility" of the encodes.
2. This group runs on principles and standards from when I began subbing ten years ago. Because of this, the way we conduct ourselves is defined by how groups operated back then. The right way to do things is not necessarily the popular way to do things.
We do periodically evaluate whether we should go to softsubs, but with the current fansubbing environment, going to softsubs will be detrimental to this group and violates our principles.
There's only a few exceptions.. basically us KiteSeekers and Wasurenai since we do both and mostly focus on softsubs for our groups. That's just for us though lol.
