- Pollyanna Grows Up, Chapter 32
The last episode shows how Mr. Pendleton uses a rather unorthodox stratagem to explain what happened at the end of episode 50. By doing that, a potential problem was solved before it would have caused serious problems.
As Pollyanna would say, "I'm glad... glad for everything now!"
This concludes our work on Pollyanna. I would like to conclude this with a few personal remarks.
Even though Pollyanna is one of the lesser known World Masterpiece Theater series, it was a pleasure for us to work on and it was no less of a series than all the other WMT series out there. I don't know of very many series that gave me so much gladness while translating each episode.
I personally hope that everyone feels a bit gladder and to see the true meaning of what it takes to be a Pollyanna. This series was about as emotional as A Little Princess Sara, but in a more positive way. We hope you enjoyed watching it as we did subbing it.
On a more logistical note, I do have all the Hi10P encodes done; they will be released as part of the batch torrents that should be coming out within the next couple of days or so. Be sure to vote when we have our next three choices for our next WMT series to sub ready!
LOVE YA, thank you very much for subbing this wonder series!! THANK YOU
ReplyDeleteCongrats for finishing Pollyanna! I'm so glad! Though I must confess I've put it on hold at episode 24 due to some stuff going on, but I'll get back to it soon. Yay Licca Subs!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your wonderful work on Pollyanna. I greatly enjoyed watching this series and even picked up the books because of it. Looking forward to your next WMT project!
ReplyDeleteInfinite thanks for subbing this old school anime Gem! Licca-Fansub is #1 group in my book! Thanks for keeping the flame of old school shoujo anime alive! I can wait to see your new WMT project :)
ReplyDeleteYOU are INCREDIBLE!!!! Thank you so so MUCH for this wonderful series!
ReplyDeleteThe work is much appreciated!
Cheers and all the best in your life, personal and professional one, Licca&team! See you around on the next series ;)
Thanks for doing this series. Are you going to do the 2 episode OVA: Sekai Meisaku Gekijou Kanketsu Ban: Ai Shoujo Pollyanna Story? Please.....
ReplyDelete@Anonymous: There's an OVA?! Where'd you find this info?
ReplyDeleteWhat the Anonymous at 3:06 was talking about is a special that is a summary of all the episodes. Think of it as the entire series compressed into an hour.
ReplyDeleteWe currently have no plans to do it.
Thank you so much for finishing (another =O) WMT series. You guys are absolutely incredible and we all very much appreciate the wonderful work you guys are doing.
ReplyDeleteOnce again a major major thanks for your work!
Side note: I do believe some of the other WMT series have been translated but have been stuck on everything else so if your willing to work with C1 I'm sure they would love to be able to finish all of which they have already translated.
well, I believe Licca does a better job then other fansubs, and joint projects don't sound like a good idea. See Mermaid Melody...
ReplyDeleteHowever, if you found some other dedicated fansubs groups...that's a different story.
A while ago, Licca posted a list of fansubs groups. I've chosen 2 of them, whom were subbing: Candy Candy and Lady Georgie. Since then, there's only been an episode release of Lady Georgie! (crying out loud :((( !!!)
Thanks a lot of all of your hard work during this project! I can't wait to see which you choose next.
ReplyDelete*crosses fingers for 'Lucy of the southern rainbow'*
Yes many thanks for finishing this series :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for finishing this series!
ReplyDeleteI am curious to know the difference between the book ending and the series ending. Does anyone has any information on this? Thank you in advance.
ReplyDelete@ Anonymous: Read the Book and watch the series, then youll know.
ReplyDeletebtw, congrats on finishing this.
btw2, is LW2 still alive?
I honestly cannot thank you enough for subbing this beautiful anime. It's a very personal story to me, and one of my absolute favorites. I remember being so upset that there were no english subs existing for the anime, and then being so happy to discover this group! Many thanks, and good luck on future projects! :)
